An experience of sociological monitoring of population’s behavior in crisis situations

Abstract:
The article describes results of a sociological monitoring, which began in 1982, for specific features of population’s behavior in crisis situations. It gives a special attention to results of public opinion’s survey that investigated population’s reactions in St. Petersburg to the global economic crisis (October 2008 — June 2009). An analysis of the data helped to elucidate and describe several indicators that are the “most sensible” when describing crisis situations.
