Aging as an object of research in social sciences

Abstract: 
This essay critically analyzes the current trends in modern social research on aging, as well as examines the key areas that the Center for Social Research on Aging of the Sociological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a branch of the Federal Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and analyzes the prospects for sociological research on age and aging.
