Locus of control and casual attribution of responsibility: general observations and specifies of study (based on the all-Russian and St.Petersburg students surveys)

Abstract:
This article offers some arguments for locus of control and casual attribution being studied from a sociological perspective. The representative samples data analysis was carried out and age as a major source of variation has been identified as a cohort effect. Variations in locus of control and casual attribution in entering a specific university decision making are examined basing on the St.Petersburg students survey data. On the base of the homogeneous student sample, the assumption about an integrated family resource influence is put forward.
